ECU City continues to evolve

As construction advances on site, ECU City’s distinctive façade is continuing to take form. Installation of the external cladding throughout Karak walk is evolving, revealing the unique colours that will enliven the public walkway.

On the Wellington Street side, construction of the campus’s cantilever – a major design feature – is also underway.

Once open in semester one, 2026, ECU City will welcome more than 10,000 students and staff, enriching the Perth CBD with creativity, energy and activation.

The $853 million ECU City project is part of the $1.7 billion Perth City Deal, a collaboration between the Australian Government, the Western Australian Government and Edith Cowan University, to deliver Perth’s first inner-city comprehensive university campus.
