ECU City continues to gain momentum with four pedestrian bridges now constructed

It’s been busy on the site of the new ECU City, with head contractor, Multiplex, recently constructing four pedestrian bridges to connect the two sides of the campus.

The bridges will provide staff and students with seamless access between facilities, while the ground level Karak Walk will be an open and inviting public walkway that connects Yagan Square to the Queen Street busport and beyond.

Set to reshape the Perth CBD with a community of more than 10,000 students and staff, ECU City is on track to open in semester one, 2026.

The $853 million project is part of the $1.66 billion Perth City Deal, a collaboration between the Australian Government, Western Australian Government and Edith Cowan University, to deliver Perth’s first fully comprehensive inner-city university campus.
