Construction continues at pace at ECU City

ECU City continues to evolve both inside and out, as the 11 super-level structure progresses towards its final height – which will be reached by the end of this year.

The second bridge over Karak Walk – the public walkway between Yagan Square and King Street – has been installed alongside the unique external cladding that will become synonymous with the walkway.

Slab works at the 65,000 square metre campus have moved to level seven, with internal stairs, lobbies, teaching spaces and several of @ECU City’s six world-class performance venues taking shape.

Welcoming more than 10,000 students and staff when it opens from semester one, 2026, ECU City will transform the Perth CBD with vibrancy, creativity and innovation.

The $853 million ECU City project is part of the $1.66 billion Perth City Deal, a collaboration between the Australian Government, the Western Australian Government and Edith Cowan University, to deliver Perth’s first inner-city comprehensive university campus.
